Nine generations have passed.

Aria is the Tenth—the last in a bloodline of women destined to defy the impossible. Her ancestors, descendants of a conquered and enslaved human race, carried the weight of rebellion in their veins. For 200 years, they have toiled, schemed, and fought for a singular goal: freedom.

When the Akuji, their oppressors, make a critical misstep, Aria seizes the moment. She leads an uprising, freeing countless women stripped of their names and reduced to numbered existence. The sworn enemies of the Akuji, the Kalabri are a race of ruthless warriors. Among them is Mikl, a bastard general, forged in battle and leading a legion of outcasts. Mikl, weary of conquest, craves only one thing: the right to mate and settle with his men. His request is denied by the Kalabri king, and in its place, he is given a planet—a hollow prize to distract him from court politics.

Enraged, Mikl ventures to inspect his new domain, seeking solace in the untamed wilds. But the gods have other plans. When he crosses paths with Aria, a woman unlike any he has ever encountered, the stars themselves seem to conspire.
